A simple demonstration of how to map SDO_GEOMETRY data from two different sources.
GeoRaptor can represent SDO_GEOMETRY data using a number of visual formats such as WKT, GML and KML, but also “enhanced” SDO_GEOMETRY formatting using colour and coordinate grouping. GeoRaptor even supports the visualiation of the actual geometry using a thumbnail.
This article describes the elements of a telecommunications pit and shows how they can be spatially represented. In particular the concept of a butterfly as a method for displaying the walls of a pit is introduced.
