Split SQL Server Spatial Linestring at a known point using TSQL

The STSplit TSQL function splits a linestring into two parts at a supplied point. If the point is not on the line it is first snapped (cf STSnap function) to the line. The function supports LineStrings, and CircularStrings or CompoundCurves.
